This weather station is located at the top of the Quad Chair approximately 900m above sea level. Nevis Range Ski Centre. S or SE Winds can affect lift operations. N (NW/NE) do not usually cause any problems. SW winds usually get what is forecast. W winds can affect chairs. Icing and heavy snow can seriously affect both wind speed and direction readings. We will de-ice as soon as we can access the station.
