Pochi luoghi nel mondo sembrano essere creati appositamente per il kitesurf come lo Stagnone. La splendida laguna che fa parte del territorio di Marsala, nella Sicilia Occidentale, è un'enorme distesa di acqua marina dichiarata riserva naturale nel 1984 che da marzo a novembre accoglie kiters di tutta Europa di qualsiasi livello, dal principiante al pro rider.
Il vento prevalente è il Maestrale, che soffia in media sui 16-20 nodi dalla primavera all'autunno, ma non sono rare le giornate di Scirocco, la cui intensità può arrivare a superare i 30 nodi per dare vita a spettacolari session “big air”.
