If very strong winds one can fly figures eight backwards and land on the farmers field. NOT if the grass is soon to be harvested!!
If the wind is quite noticable from NW one can fly very well on the other side of the valley.
Green sector: Perfect for soaring from takeoff
Yellow sector: Perfect for soaring on south side other side of valley
