This station is situated just in front of the sea, very close to the division between the localities of Chipiona and Sanlúcar de Barrameda. The base of the station is at ~10 m above sea level (11 m with low tide and around 9 m with high tide) in a terrace (rooftop).

The area is scientifically very interesting due to the large intertidal area. The sector 260-45º (W-NE) is completely looking to the sea and is influenced by sea conditions, while the rest of the sector has land influences (NE-W sector). The heights of the instruments are:

- Wind vane and anemometer: 2.6 m above (terrace) ground level (~10 m above sea level).
- Termohygrometer: 2 m above ground level.
- Pyranometer: 1.5 m above ground level.
- Rain gauge and pressure sensor: 1.2 m above ground level.
- Temperature and soil moisture sensor (~10 cm depth in a pot with sand).
